THERE'S STILL TIME TO RIDE

In this issue: Bicycle Revival heads west + community ride; gratitude for donor support; thinking ahead to holiday bicycle gifts

Bicycle Revival & Community Ride
Coming to Bellevue on November 12th
Bike Fun and Bellevue United Methodist Church will be joining forces on Saturday, November 12th, for a bicycle revival and community ride

The bicycle revival will be held from 9-11am in the parking lot of the church. Bicycle owners are invited to bring their bicycles and have our volunteers help with basic bicycle repairs, including cleaning/lubricating chains, flat tire fixes, and brake checks. First come first serve!

Afterwards, we will head out on a community bicycle ride through the neighborhood and onto the Harpeth River Greenway and back. We will meet for the ride at noon and have wheels down by 12:30p. This is a no-drop, casual ride for all levels of riders.

Light refreshments and beverages will be available for everyone. Questions? Drop us a line!

This event is free and open to the public. Bellevue UMC is located at 7501 Old Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37221.

Birthday Fundraisers Boost Bike Fun
This October, Bike Fun board members KJ Garner and Carey Rogers created birthday-related fundraisers on Facebook for Bike Fun. Collectively, they raised $1895. This is a huge boost for our growing organization!

KJ Garner and Carey Rogers at a Bike to Work Day event, 2018At the end of 2022, we will have three years of financials to demonstrate our commitment to serving the community of Middle Tennessee - and will therefore be eligible for participation in several key grant processes.

We are thankful to our current, past, and future donors for helping us to create joyful bicycle riders in Middle Tennessee.

If you're interested in supporting us financially, you may do so electronically via Network for Good (one time donation), Patreon (monthly recurring donation), or with a check to Bike Fun, 1616 Comanche Run, Madison, TN 37115. Contributions are tax deductible.

Giving a New Bike
This Holiday Season?

KJ stands behind a bike that isn't her size!Bicycles are a wonderful sentiment of freedom, of power over your own movement, and are fantastic gifts to give to family members or friends!

Having worked in bicycle retail, I hear a LOT about, "I don't know what size they are - but I can't show it to them, it's a gift!" Trust me when I say that supply chain issues are still at play and sometimes it's better to get the bike in front of you than it is to wait too late - but wouldn't it be nice to hit it on the money the first time?

Check out some basic guidelines about buying bikes - new or used - as gifts.
